It was the 4th and 5th of July 2009 and the URC Flowmotion team decided to spend this weekend in Kranjska Gora for the MTB Race. 2 days of surprisingly hot weather, a flowing nice track which could be slowly observed from the continuously min-speed lift and about 180 bikers who where ready for the challenge.

Beautiful but more than just easy to ride, the new Flowmotion Fun member, Beni, took a heavy lift of on the training day. Through the last gap, with to much euphoria and overspeeded, his bike couldn't handle the pressure of the landing anymore. He crashed very hard and almost split his right hand pinkie apart. But lucky things didn't turn out worse, he could be fixed by getting sutured with some stitches. Till here: First day... First knock out.

Sunday the 5th. Now, with one observer more, everyone was back on the track.

At first, the starting order has to be set. Qualifying. Starting at 11 o'clock. Simon Mayer, now the only fun class rider left, opened the challenge for the Flowmotion team. He claimed the 4th place.

Kampfer Broken

Christoph, who already learned to love riding this course felt in a drive of motivation. Not even half way down, he lost control between the trees. To fast, impossible to outrun the stamp that's blocking the way. He crashed the ground with his helmet ahead. Gore-spitting and knee injured finished Kriese the qualifying but wasn't further able to go on.

The biggest hope Matthias signed the 9th place. Umar and Thomas finished with nearly the same time. They took place 32 and 33.
